Christian Louboutin Pumps-Font World
If you're like me you probably get a bit surprised at the effect that the shape and style of a letter can have on people and more importantly yourself. Simon Garfield has just written a book about it - entitled 'Just My Type' - a whole book about fonts! I accept that fonts are important to us, I actually went to a dinner party last night and engaged in a conversation centered around which font our companies prefer us to use in emails! (could be that I just have sad friends ) christian louboutin shoes-pumps. We also discussed how we used to love the old school Nokia font in text messages, now we can't imagine not seeing our blackberry typeface everyday (trivial but important in our lives!) I certainly also believe that a person's handwriting can speak volumes about them and would never disregard the importance of choosing the right font for the right purpose. Having said this, could I ever really render font types a serious topic of contemplation or discussion? I recently read an article on the BBC website by Simon Garfield that was very passionate about the importance of typeface. It was wholly centered around slating the old school favourite that is - 'Comic Sans'!! - Christian Louboutin pumps was an interesting read but surprisingly painful too. It was like watching your geeky but adorable friend get bullied in the school playground. Poor Comic suffered some serious blows. At one point Garfield describes it as - 'irritably simple, so apparently written by a small child. Helvetica is everywhere and simple too, but it usually has the air of modern Swiss sophistication about it, or at least corporate authority. Comic Sans just smirks at you, and begs to be printed in multiple colours' - Ouch! As Garfield puts Christian Louboutin discount - 'From EasyJet to Facebook, road signs to clothing labels, we are surrounded by a world of type' - So perhaps it's fair enough that we feel emotional about this subject, as it effects us everyday Next on my journey to 'appreciating letters' I took a quiz that Garfield recommends in his book- 'Just My Type' Try it when you get a moment, it's an extremely bizarre video hosted by a Freudian character who asks you questions about your personality. He then matches his assessment of you to a font type that suits you best. I am Pistilli Roman apparently - traditional and assertive. Good to know Christian Louboutin cheap.
